CASE STUDY / E-COMMERCE · PET
Mamagone.
A custom commerce infrastructure managing repeat orders and real profitability
In pet food the real value is not in a one-off order but in the customer coming back again and again. We designed Mamagone not as a hosted store but as a commercial system built to manage that order cycle.

01THE STARTING POINT
On every order the customer had to think it through again.
How much food the pet would eat, which product it needed and when to reorder were all worked out by the customer.
Hosted store setups did not put that repeat order cycle at the centre of the business. There was also no commercial flexibility to see real profitability order by order.
02OUR APPROACH
We did not set up a store. We wrote a commercial system built around the repeat order.
- 01The user adds their pet’s details to the system.
- 02The system produces product recommendations against those needs.
- 03Consumption volume and the next order date can be calculated.
- 04Listing, product and payment steps are improved against measurement data.
- 05Checkout duration is tracked and the points to reduce are identified.
- 06The storefront and the commerce infrastructure were built as separate layers.
04THE RESULT
Growth became a commerce infrastructure not bound by the limits of a hosted platform.
Mamagone is Webosentez’s own commerce venture. That is why product recommendation, repeat orders, loyalty and commercial measurement are built directly against what the business model needs.
- Pet profile
- An experience built on repeat orders
- Separate storefront and commerce layers
- Infrastructure suited to measuring order profitability
