Which barcode do you need?
For stock that stays in your own shop or warehouse, a Code 128 barcode carrying your stock code is enough. Products sold through retailers need an EAN-13 number from GS1, which identifies the product uniquely worldwide.

Common questions
For your own stock, warehouse or in-store use, type your stock or product code and the tool draws a Code 128 barcode you can download as PNG or SVG. For retail barcodes you need an EAN-13 number from GS1 first; the tool calculates the check digit for the number you were given and draws its barcode.
EAN-13 numbers come from membership of your national GS1 organisation, GS1 UK in the United Kingdom, which assigns your company prefix. A number made up at random may belong to another company’s product.
It is the last digit of an EAN-13 number, calculated from the first twelve; scanners use it to confirm the number was read correctly. Enter 12 digits and the tool adds it; enter 13 and the tool checks it.
Create a numbered barcode list and press Print; only the barcodes are printed. For label printers or sharp print, use the SVG file.
